Building Code Training and Consulting. SSTL CODES, Inc. has been providing building code workshops and consulting since 1999 for Architects, Engineers, Interior Designers, Developers and City Employees. SSTL CODES, Inc. President Shahla Tabatabai- Layendecker, AIA, CBO Training Workshops (Health, Safety and Welfare Hours) Workshops are designed in order to enhance the knowledge of appropriate professions in utilizing the Construction Codes. Workshops are registered through American Institute of Architects [AIA] and qualify towards Architects, Interior Designers, and Engineers licensing Continuing Education Credits requirements. In-House Workshops SSTL CODES, Inc. also provides Building Code workshops in your office for your convenience. In- House-Workshops are also developed to meet the particular needs of your projects. Many architectural firms that have hosted In-House Workshops have invited their engineers and clients to attend these workshops. These types of workshops have created closer working relationship between the Architects, Engineers and their clients. Attendees in the workshop will recognize utilizing the requirements of the Building Codes in the early phases of a project and its positive effect on the quality of Construction documents, turn around time during permit process and ultimately project budget. Building Code Consulting SSTL CODES, Inc. provides consulting and plan review services during all stages of Construction. Consulting services are available based on a comprehensive Building Code review from Schematic, Design Development and Construction Document phases to applying for the building permit and securing the Certificate of Occupancy. Reviews are performed per your specific needs for only a few questions or can be a complete review of construction documents. SSTL CODES, Inc. also prepares and provides Code solutions to authorities having jurisdiction for the acceptance of alternate materials and methods of construction.
